Hiring a DUI lawyer is not a guarantee that charges will be dropped against the defendant. However, with the aid of a DUI lawyer a defendant often has a better chance of getting a favorable outcome in court that without one. A DUI lawyer has the power and reputation in a court system that a defendant who stands alone would not have, and henceforth it is wise to have legal representation. The main purpose of a DUI lawyer is to argue the defendant’s side in the situation and attempt to present a case that makes the defendant as innocent as possible. In many cases the charges are known to be dropped in court, but it depends solely on the judge and the case itself. Some of the factors that go into determining guilt or innocence are things like prior history, risk factors, attitude, and remorse for the crime committed. Even when the judge determines that he or she will proceed with charging the defendant having a DUI lawyer present will often result in a lesser punishment, community service instead of a jail sentence.

When a person has been arrested with a DUI, he needs to hire a DUI lawyer. Such cases should be handled by an experienced and a knowledge lawyer because it can affect not only your life but also your family member's life.

I agree with your point but how to judge which DUI lawyer is best for our case and how to find them? Are DUI lawyers are special kind of persons to handle DUI case?
